This is the Connecticut PBS network. We represent Technical and Production Employees who produce local programming ranging from documentaries to UCONN Women’s basketball.
The main Public Broadcasting Network in Vermont with multiple mountain transmitters was organized in 1979. We represent studio and mountain top Technicians, Editors, Videographers, Traffic Employees, Graphic Artist and production staff.
This owned and operated Media General station has three separate bargaining units, all represented by Local 1228; Directors and Staff Photographers Unit, the Broadcast and Production Technicians Unit and the Announcers and Newspersons Unit.
We represent two seperate Bargaining Units at WMUR. The first is comprised of 12 Videographers, and was organized in 2003 and the second is made up of the station's Master Control and Truck Operator technicians .With the help of the Local New Hampshire Labor Community, the International IBEW and the National AFL-CIO we settled both of their fist Contracts gaining remarkable increases in wages and working conditions. The photogs are now working under their second Agreement which also saw very significant wage increases for lower paid employees.
Recently this station changed its call letters from WNDS to WZMY and has launched a campaign calling itself MY TV. We represent operation and production Technicians.
This is the Rhode Island Public Broadcasting Network. Unlike the other two PBS stations we represent, this one gets its major operating dollars from the State. We represent operations and maintenance technicians.
Owned and operated by NBC, this station’s original call letters were WNBC and Meet the Press was originally produced here. We represent studio and field Technicians as well as Videographers and Production employees.
